Mediante un comunicado de prensa, la Gobernación del Cesar explicó la situación presentada con la atleta clasificada olímpica Natalia Linares, y la justificación para el pedido de los equipos de entrenamiento.

“La Liga de Atletismo del Cesar manifestó la necesidad de recuperar los equipos de preparación física con los cuales Natalia entrenaba y que siendo propiedad de la Liga del Cesar fueron trasladados a Santa Marta, para que ella pudiera seguir sus entrenamientos, de cara al ciclo olímpico, y que esa liga, frente a la partida de Linares al interior del país, considera jurídicamente necesario regresarlos, para el entrenamiento de otros deportistas”, señala un aparte del comunicado.

Es de recordar que la atleta cambió de la Liga del Cesar a la de Bogotá, buscando un mejor bienestar.

“Fue para nosotros una sorpresa la decisión de Linares de marcharse del Cesar y preferir competir para una liga de otro departamento, sin embargo, respetamos su determinación, aún sin compartirla. Esta es su casa, mal haríamos en cerrar puertas, esperamos recapacite y que ojalá pudiera meditar mejor las cosas”, enfatizó el mensaje.

En otro párrafo señala que: “La Gobernación del Cesar no firmó la carta de solicitud de retorno de los equipos, pero ve sano que este módulo deportivo que es propiedad del Departamento del Cesar sea usado por los deportistas que representan al territorio; así que, respalda la urgencia de que los elementos regresen pronto al Coliseo de Atletismo José Luis “El Gordo” Parada. De ahora en adelante, su nueva liga debe responder por sus prácticas y entrenamiento deportivo”.

Además que: “No es necesario poner en redes sociales a la entidad territorial como quien quiere dañar y hacer un mal, no es así, lo sentimos mucho, la historia es otra querida deportista, usted reconoció en su reciente publicación que lleva tres años con estas máquinas, tres años en que ha visto florecer sus triunfos, pero que ahora, lamentablemente, nos deja.  La Gobernación del Cesar, no es responsable de esta situación, que solo su nueva liga debe resolver, asuma usted sus decisiones”.
